International rap icon Apl.de.Ap of Black Eyed Peas donated a three-classroom building on October 27, 2014 for Zamboanga Sibugay National High School, Campus B.
Because of the school’s ballooning population, Dr. Amelia P. Torralba, Schools Division Superintendent, suggested ZSNHS to be the recipient of the Apl.de.Ap Foundation.
A program was held at ZSNHS Campus B mini-gymnasium, 8:00 in the morning for the ground-breaking of the said donation.
Mr. Al Javier of the Habitat for Humanity gave background to the said foundation and its project for the school.
Javier also stated that there is a possibility on February, 2015, Apl.de.Ap himself will visit the site in Campus B when the building will be finished.
Principal Alberto T. Alavaren, Planning Officer Joy B. Pasia, Campus B Head Dioscoro P. Escala, and GPTA President Raul E. Gatinao also gave their message.
Other personalities present during the event were Hon. Roger Guinanad of the LGU and Ipil Chief of Police Raul Clavecilla.
After the program was the blessing of the construction and the burying of “time capsule” near the location.
